Taking a surface mold sample.
3 ways to sample for mold, surface, bulk and air.
Surface samples
Involve swabbing the contaminated area or using a tape lift to collect the sample.
Bulk samples
Collect a quantity of mold usually attached to building materials like drywall.

Collect air samples of mold to determine if harmful molds (moulds) like stachybotrys chartarum are airborne.
Air sampling
This is the most complex and can be performed at the start of a project to determine if harmful molds like stachybotrys chartarum are airborne. It can also be done at the end of a remediation project for final clearance purposes to give our clients peace of mind.
